The sale will also include rare items from Moby’s personal collection and discography such as two first pressings of his ground-breaking ‘Play’ album, test pressings and signed gatefold reissues of ‘Play’ and ‘18’, promo recordings and more. The music for John Huston's 1956 movie Moby Dick, by Philip Sainton (1891-1967), is one of history's great lost film scores, and one needn't be a fan of Huston's movie to enjoy Sainton's music. In April, Moby auctioned hundreds of pieces of musical gear off via Reverb, including synthesizers, guitar, and even a sombrero. ![]()
